I’ve been a fan of photography ever since I came to Japan in 2005. This page is about my history with digital camera’s and the equipment I’ve had since I started. I post a lot of pictures on the internet. Usually I just post on my blog, but for some occassions I post at other places.
My pictures on the internet
Picasa: For travel albums and large series of pictures of the same thing. Usually I put stuff here that I share with friends. A nice feature of Picasa is that you can geotag pictures, and they appear on Google Earth. Cool!
Photoblog : For special pictures and pictures that I deem worth it to showcase individually. It hasn’t been updated in a long time, and I now post photos directly on this blog instead.
Copyright and all that crap
So, all of the photos I ever posted and ever will post on this blog I consider to be ‘open source’ and free for anyone to use, for private use and commercial use. If it’s on the net, then it’s free. I would of course appreciate it if you mention my name and blog if you do use one of my photos. If you want to get the originals then drop me an e-mail, and I’m sure we can work something out. I will be bummed out if you post the original online somewhere though.
- Getting started with digital photography: 2000 – 2006
- Forced into DSLR-ism: 2007-2008
- Semi-professional money spender: 2008-2009
- Happy with what I’ve got: 2009-2010
My current toys are a Canon 50D plus lenses ranging from 10mm to 300mm, and a tiny little S90 compact that I can put in my pockey any time. The S90’s CHDK firmware takes care of time lapses as well. Other ‘special purpose’ cameras include a G7 (also for time-lapsing) and a 400D, which is resting in a drawer somewhere.
